From portraits, to empty stages

NEWS
of this year's International Photography
Awards (IPA's). Open to professional, am-
ateur and student photographers around
the world, the competition received more
than 13,000 entries across 13 categories.
Julia Fullerton-Batten - a professional
photographer from the UK- won the Fine
Art category with her picture Looking Out
From Within, 2020. She reflected the tone
in many of the pictures in her description.
She said: "Covid-19 came. Life changed.I
felt numb, couldn't stand around helpless.
I decided to document the new daily
existence of millions." Winners of the pro-
fessional categories will be entered into
the IPA's Photographer of the Year com-
petition, with the chance to win $10,000
(£7,750). Non-professional and student
winners will now be up for the $5,000
