NEWS
the world to remember those who died in
conflict. In the UK, a two-minute silence was
observed, with a special service held 100 years
on from the burial of the Unknown Warrior,
whose grave has become a memorial to those
who lost their lives. In Australia, poppies were
projected onto the sails of the Sydney Opera
House, while in Canada thousands of flags
were planted at the grounds of a veterans'
centre to remember their sacrifice. A popPpy
mosaic comprising hundreds of thank you
notes to military heroes has been organised
