The brutal killing of black man Joao BBC NEWS Alberto Silveira Freitas at the hands of two white security guards outside a supermarket has sparked outrage across Brazil. The 40- year-old was repeatedly punched in the face on Thursday, the eve of Black Consciousness Day. Protests have since been taking place across the country.
